Paul Gorski is a current trustee who has served on the board as Vice-Chairperson and Finance Committee Chair. Gorski has worked to expand course offerings and campus locations, including the Advanced Technology Center in Belvidere, and the new campus in downtown Rockford, currently under construction. Gorski brings twenty years of community experience to the RVC Board having served as Winnebago County Board Member, Cherry Valley Township Trustee, and Cherry Valley Library District Trustee.

Richard Kennedy currently serves as board Operations Committee Chair, and while in that position championed the new downtown construction project and much needed main campus upgrades and improvements including a new elevator system to improve access on the main campus. Kennedy knows the RVC district, having grown up in Boone County, spending over twenty years in law enforcement, and now serving in a community liaison role. He’s also carved out time to serve as a part-time teacher.

Jenna Goldsmith is a college professor from Boone County, now in Rockford who knows RVC and higher education. Jenna started her college career at RVC, then moved on to earn BA, MA and PhD degrees in English Studies. Goldsmith values the affordable education our residents get at RVC, and hopes to increase enrollment to help others, like her, start at RVC then transfer out to higher education opportunities. Goldsmith will maintain the balance of workforce training and transfer credit opportunities that makes RVC unique. Jenna, an author, wants to help “write” RVC’s future chapters of growth and success by serving as trustee.
